Since 2015, Creating Possibilities Nepal and UBC have screened 7,788 individuals for Sickle Cell Disease across Dang District, identifying 698 trait carriers and 34 active patients. Through community education, forum theatres, and annual screening camps, we're addressing a critical health challenge facing the Tharu population, where SCD prevalence reaches 9.3%.
